Abstract
ICP-AES was applied to the determination of Fe and Cr in L-carnosine. The sample was pretreated by high temperature dry ashing method. The test conditions of ICP-AES were as follows: analytical spectral lines of 238.204, 259.939 nm for the determination of Fe and 267.716, 283.563 nm for Cr; emission power of 1 300 W; nebulizer gas flow rate of 0.8 L·min-1. Linear relationships were found between emission intensity and the mass concentration of Fe, Cr in definite ranges with detection limits (3s/k) in the range of 0.002-0.012 mg·L-1. Recovery rates obtained by standard addition method were in the range of 92.0%-104%, and RSDs (n=6) were less than 8.0%.
